Why Does a Child Lose his Baby Teeth

Baby teeth also know as milk teeth are lost by children between six to eight years of age. A child loses his baby teeth to make space for the permanent teeth. The baby teeth plays a major role in guiding the permanent teeth into its perfect position in the jaw. Hence as soon as a baby tooth falls, the permanent tooth makes its way to its position by pushing through the gum.
